Shop Till You Drop?!

Bansky one of the most famous street artist in the world. His artistic works consists of political and social themes which is usually featured in the streets. I especially liked two of his famous pieces of art which represents almost the same concept! The first depicts a woman being pulled down falling and reaching for her shopping cart full of goods and the second shows three children giving all manner of respect to a hastily lifted Tesco bag that flies like a flag in the breeze.

The falling shopper piece is painted a couple of floors up with a pretty drop shadow below while on the lower right portion of the wall is written ,”Cops Against Cuts” The G=Good Cop.’ Toting the artist’s thoughts which is obviously in this case consumerism after it’s been continually questioned due the heightened economic over spending while the second piece the Tesco flag is bringing lots of political commentary the first impression of the scene conveys a sense of shock as the children are honoring a Tesco grocery bag as they might honor their national flag.
Though both documents shows a banal and ordinary scenes of usual streets the artist is presenting a bitter critic to the consuming society and shows the domination of big profit companies to people which changes their own way of living. This is an awakening call to people to try and changes their lifestyle and try to find new ways to live a better and healthier life and to give more importance to healthy and good things instead of consuming blindly.

I personally like both art pieces and Love the artist’s work because his pieces make you think about the meaning.  Both pieces welcome ample social discussions and political viewpoint on consumerism which seems to be the artist’s representation of commercialism and consumer culture. The children in the Tesco flag piece are now showing allegiance to a corporation rather than home country while in the falling shopper photo to a trolley. I also think that the dark use of colors in both pieces furthers the sense of their disaffection and also leading to the unavoidable question:Will You Shop Till You Drop?!

Smile again

I have recently read an article about The Depilex Smile again Foundation which inspired me to keep thinking and keep trying to look for creative approaches to solving problems.
It’s all about a Pakistani salon owner called Musarrat Misbah who discovered a new life mission. It all started when a women came to Musarrat’s salon with her face covered asking for help to look better. “When she removed her veil, I had to sit down!! There was no life in my legs” Musarrat recalls in a recent BBC interview. “In front of me was a woman with no face. Her eyes and nose were gone and her neck and face were stuck together so she couldn’t move them”
Musarrat found doctors to perform reconstructive surgery on the women and thus began her charity work for acid attack victims; she started a non-profit organization called Smile Again which has helped hundreds of acid attack survivors rebuild their lives.
With donations, she not only pays for their medical treatment but also trains them for the workplace. Some even work at her salon now. For more than a decade Musarrat Misbah’s beauty salon has been a refuge for women attacked by acid. This will give them a chance to start a better life.

Mussarat says that when she listen to their stories where the attackers are motivated by such small reasons, sometimes no reason at all, she thinks, “Is this the world we want to live in?!” For her part, Mussarat is trying to build the kind of world that she wants to live in by helping one woman at a time rebuild their life.
Giving these women hope after losing it is such a good mission to accomplish.

Inside Is Outside

Hello world!!!
I recently participated in an environmental event called “INSIDE IS OUTSIDE” that I wanted to share with you!!
The event is based around environmental activities aimed at getting people out to learn about their environment in a fun way.
The day was an opportunity to get active outdoors , improve local habitat ,reconnect with nature , become aware of the current situation , cleaning up litter and learning new ways to protect the environment through volunteering and community events.
The full event was focusing on educating and engaging people to take the initiative and awakening greater environmental awareness within ourselves as well as collaborating and learning from others through dialogue and local initiatives.
The idea as shown in the picture below was to form a line and start moving forward leaving everything behind crystal clean. After being satisfied with the result we went to the nearest trash can to throw the litter that we picked up with so many happy faces proud of the outstanding accomplishment that we achieved!!
To finish we got back to our clean park to Meditate and practice Tai Chi!!!! Tai Chi’s graceful movements used to provide relaxed focus and to engender a deep sense of relaxation to release inner tensions. IT WAS MAGICAL!!
It has been a great experience attending this event. I think it was very successful and I fully enjoyed it.I also had the honor to meet many intelligent and lovely people. I have benefited very much from this fantastic event and I would like to express my heart-felt thanks to people who have made it possible!!
Don’t forget that everyone can be a part of the change

The Power Of Love

Hello world!!
A while ago I realized that I was spending too much time reading blog posts and enjoying YouTube videos!! “I literally may be just a tad bit over the limit”
Why not join the club myself?!
It took me a lot of time trying to figure out what should I write in my first blog post and by a lot I mean months…I started asking myself questions “What if they don’t like it?!” “What if they don’t like me?!” “What should I write about?!” “Should I write about my lifestyle?!” and it went on and on and on…
Today I decided to stop asking myself questions that will keep me stuck and start doing Me as simple as that!!
A First blog post is important off course but the fate of the world doesn’t depend on it ."kidding"

Let me tell you a little bit about myself I’m a person who still carries that childhood dream of changing the world to a better happier place full of love and passion!!
I will be writing for you and I’m pretty sure that something done with this much love cannot go wrong that the light from my heart has the potential to affect the whole planet it’s simply the power of love.

I shall talk to you soon beautiful people till then
